Moving to Texas

After living here in California for the better part of a decade, I think it is time for me to move on.  Originally, I had not planned to come here, but when there was an opening here within our parent company, I had to take it.  Now, the same sort of opportunity has opened up in Dallas, Texas, and I think I am going to take it.  So, I have been looking at what it will take for me to move to Texas.

Now, when you move you have to check out a number of things including the schools where your children will be attending, the housing situation, and the community.  From what I can gather, Dallas offers everything anyone with a family would desire, and it looks like my wife agrees with me.  In fact, I think we have pretty much decided that we are going to go.

But before we commit to the move, I need to look up the education requirements for life insurance brokers.  Since that is what I do for a living, I wanted to see the differences between California and Texas insurance continuing education programs.  Provided there is not a lot of difference in terms of requirements, I think that we will be moving to Texas in the new year.  I am really looking forward to the change of scenery.
